Characteristics
Monastir has French origin but it seems to grow better in Italy than in the north of Alps. Might be the atmosphere, the richness of art and culture or, perhaps farmers passion that really eat pasta they produce. We don't know; the fact is that in our country this wheat grows beautiful and strong. It is a durum wheat that allows to obtain a high quality pasta with a nice protein content. Didn't you know?
